Baked Herb Potato Chips




As a man who constantly has the urge to snack on something, finding a healthy alternative to the items I crave can be interesting. Sometimes I want a snack in the form of chicken nuggets, while other times I just need a bag of chips to sustain me for another hour.

The amount of variations on the common potato chip seems endless! I decided to join in on the fun and combine a lot of my favorite spices and herbs to create a potato chip bursting with flavor. To top it all off, its baked! So it’s healthier than frying the potatoes. Enjoy!



Baked Herb Potato Chips

Ingredients

2 Yellow Potatoes – peeled and sliced ¼ inch thick
½ Teaspoon Sriracha
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
½ Tablespoon Onion Powder
1 Teaspoon Basil
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Pepper


Directions

1.     Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2.     In a small bowl, combine the olive oil and Sriracha.
3.     Toss the potatoes with the olive oil and Sriracha in a large bowl.
4.     Sprinkle the potatoes with the garlic powder, onion powder basil, salt and pepper.

5.     Bake for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
