Krusty Krab Pizza

"Krusty Kraaaaa-ee-aa--eaaab. Is the pizzzaaaa. for you and! meee-eeee-eeeeeeiee-ee"

A little while ago I uploaded a recipe for my version of the Krabby Patty.

Staying with the Spongebob theme....BOOM! KRUSTY KRAB PIZZA. Of course I don't know the ACTUAL recipe. This is what happens when I brainstorm.

So I need to shoutout Morgan on this one. A lot of collaboration with this recipe. It's a white thin crust pizza topped with crab meat and fresh basil. Fresh dough would be ideal, but in the presence of a time constraint, store bought dough will suffice. (I used store bought dough). The sauce is a delicious and simple to make garlic white sauce. Of course I added a little Sriracha and red pepper flakes for heat.

A fun recipe for the family!

P.s you might have some leftover garlic white sauce.

Crab Meat Pizza

Thin Crust Pizza Dough
2 tablespoons Olive Oil

Garlic White Sauce
½ pint Heavy Whipping Cream
1 teaspoon Butter
¼ teaspoon Flour
1 teaspoon Parsley
1 teaspoon garlic
½ teaspoon Pepper
1/8 cup Parmesan Cheese

1 cup Crab Meat

½ teaspoon Ground Mustard
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

2 tablespoons Sriracha
¾ cup Mozzarella Cheese
1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
Fresh Basil – chopped

1.     In a small sauce pan, melt the butter over medium low heat.
2.     Add the flour and whisk thoroughly for about 1 minute.
3.     Add the garlic and saute for about 2 minutes.
4.     Add the heavy whipping cream and whisk slowly for 2 minutes. Slowly let it bubble for about 3 minutes, occasionally whisking.
5.     Add the parsley, pepper and parmesan cheese and whisk for an additional minute.
6.     Set aside to let cool.
7.     In a small bowl, combine the crab meat, old bay, ground mustard and garlic powder.
8.     Preheat the oven to 450.
9.     Build your pizza:
a.     Brush the dough with olive oil.
b.     Spread the cooled garlic white sauce over the dough.
c.      Using a pinwheel design, spread the Sriracha over the dough.
d.     Add the caramelized onions, crab meat mix, mozzarella cheese and red pepper flakes
e.     Bake for about 10 minutes (or until cheese is completely melted and crust is fully browned.

f.      Sprinkle the pizza with the fresh basil.
