Krabby Patty

Yup. It happened. It finally happened. I don't live in a pineapple under the sea. My boss isn't Mr. Krabbs. But I'm not afraid to admit that I'm a Spongebob Squarepants fan. It's funny because growing up I was never really into the show. It wasn't until my college years when I became interested.

What's a staple of Spongebob Squarepants? THE KRABBY PATTY. I went ahead and made one myself. Even though the actual recipe was never revealed on the show, I used my imagination. Combining crab meat and ground beef into one patty is interesting, but it's also DELICIOUS.

Is it any surprise that this guy would make one of these?

*My friend Kim told me to make this...it was a no brainer.

Krabby Patty

Ingredients

Crab Mix
¼ cup Crabmeat
¼ teaspoon Sriracha
¼ teaspoon Parsley
½ teaspoon Mayo
½ teaspoon Worcestershire
½ teaspoon Old Bay
¼ teaspoon Ground Mustard
¼ teaspoon Lemon Juice
½ teaspoon Green Onions
Beef Mix
½ lb ground Beef
½ teaspoon Seasoned Salt
½ teaspoon Seasoned Pepper
¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder
Spicy Chipotle Mayo Sauce
2 tablespoons Mayo
½ teaspoon Chipotle Seasoning
1 tablespoon Srirahca
Garnish
Sesame Seed Bun (or a hard roll)
½ teaspoon Butter
Lettuce
Tomato
Colby Peperjack Cheese

Directions

1.     Combine the crab mix ingredients in one bowl and the beef mix in another.
2.     In a small bowl, mix together the ingredients for the spicy chipotle mayo sauce.
3.     Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat.
4.     Combine the crab mix with the beef mix, until everything is well incorporated and the crab mix is evenly distributed throughout the beef.
5.     Grill patties for about 20 minutes (flipping once half way through cooking time).

6.     Build burger to your liking.
